Optimised & flattened: Narrow concealed hinge „Pivota DX 78 3-D“ comes for the „58

For the digital T6-Expo, building hardware manufacturer Basys has made a model optimisation. It concerns the range of very narrow concealed hinges for flush doors and for flush rebated doors. The „Pivota DX 78 3-D“ replaces the „Pivota DX 58“ with immediate effect. The bodies of the new hinge are much flatter. The reduced milling depth has a positive effect on the appearance of the door.

When installed, the difference is not noticeable. Only the comparison of the bodies shows: While „Pivota DX 58“ was 30 mm high, the milling depth for the „Pivota DX 78“ is reduced to 23 mm. In the new model, more material remains in the door leaf and frame. On the one hand, this makes it possible to achieve a narrower frame. On the other hand, the area in front of the milling is less susceptible to denting or buckling. This is particularly relevant when door elements are designed with high-gloss surfaces.

Like all hinges of the „Pivota DX“ series, the new „78“ has maintenance-free bearings and is 3-dimensionally adjustable. It has a load capacity of 80 kilograms per pair. In the design version, magnetically held cover plates hide the adjustment and fixation screws.
